Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Properly palletize goods and stack them securely to prevent damage and optimize warehouse space.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure machinery is in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and speed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (CPLP or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
