Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and move materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock organization to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE, and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately.
- Material Preparation: Prepare pallets and packages for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and securing of goods.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse aisles and dock areas.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, time sheets, and inspection reports for equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Driver's License: A valid state-issued driver's license (Class B preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail to prevent errors.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and supervisors.
