Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
- Inventory Control: Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory counts and documentation.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by organizing stockpiles and pallets efficiently.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately to meet customer deadlines and quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (CDL preferred but not always required for standard forklifts).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and completing paperwork.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Punctual and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
