Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check, count, and tag stock using warehouse management systems to ensure inventory levels are correct.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate shipments and streamline warehouse workflows.
- Load Preparation: Properly secure loads and prepare pallets for shipping or storage to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and work in various weather conditions (loading docks).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
