Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Load, unload, and move materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or delivery trucks.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper placement of pallets.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient warehouse flow.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse operations, including hazardous material handling when necessary.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) license is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License (not always required for indoor roles, but preferred for general logistics).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
