Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, etc.) to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and Unload Materials: Perform accurate loading and unloading of trailers and trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and properly tagged.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free working environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts, stock checks, and maintaining accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear and organized to ensure efficient workflow and emergency egress.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidates for immediate starts.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification or be willing to obtain one prior to start date.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and navigate a busy warehouse environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret pick tickets and shipping orders accurately.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable work history and be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse staff and management to meet daily targets.
