Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Goods: Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and trailers in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Verify and inspect stock items to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Organizational Maintenance: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Pallet Handling: Stack, arrange, and secure pallets according to safety protocols and company standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts and other machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on tasks and maintain accuracy during inventory checks.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Availability: Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the warehouse schedule.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
