Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move inventory throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check and record stock movements to ensure inventory levels match our precise records.
- Load & Unload: Execute loading and unloading protocols for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the storage area organized, clean, and orderly to facilitate efficient workflow and retrieval.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to coordinate daily operations and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Current and valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and documenting inventory logs.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License (Class B preferred but not always required for operator roles).
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand safety labels and work orders.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed.
