Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks, to move materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Inspect forklifts and equipment daily for safety and proper functioning before operation.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock levels and timely order fulfillment.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (OSHA 10/30 preferred, but training provided for qualified candidates).
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment (reach trucks, order pickers).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
