Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials and products throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload Freight: Accurately load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo to prevent damage.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting and inventory verification processes to maintain accurate stock levels in the warehouse management system.
- Stock Organization: Stack, arrange, and organize products on pallets, shelves, or racks in compliance with company safety and storage guidelines.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, including conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris as needed.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery tickets and logs, with high attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 preferred) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be comfortable with overhead work.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class C) required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
