Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and logging data into the warehouse management system.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Perform routine cleaning and organization of workstations and aisles.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including verifying shipment accuracy and documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or Order Picker) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and material handling best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance record and ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
