Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving, locating, and placing products on pallets or shelves within the warehouse. You will ensure inventory accuracy and adhere to all safety regulations to maintain a secure facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Inspect forklifts daily for safety issues and perform basic maintenance as required.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and document any discrepancies.
- Organize, stack, and secure materials according to company protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with 5S standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels and safety concerns.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and understand basic inventory labels, barcodes, and warehouse maps.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
