What You'll Do
As a Forklift Operator, your day will be fast-paced and essential to our operations. You will ensure that all materials are moved, stored, and retrieved efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and report any potential hazards immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of stock movements and equipment inspections.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
