Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to safely load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure machinery is in safe working order.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels using warehouse management software.
- Ensure all loading docks, aisles, and work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company operational policies at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Assist in the organization of pallets and storage zones to maximize space efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
