Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move products using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring accurate inventory placement.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits, maintaining accurate records of stock levels.
- Organization: Maintain a clutter-free warehouse floor, organizing pallets and materials to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to coordinate shipping and receiving tasks.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and safety procedures.
- License: Valid Driver's License is preferred.
- Communication: Ability to read and comprehend safety manuals and operational instructions.
