Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport palletized goods within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders to meet daily production targets and customer deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and reporting any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines, including wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and maintaining clear walkways.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of inventory movements and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep storage areas tidy, organized, and free of debris to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or evenings as required by business needs.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols to prevent accidents and errors.
- License: Valid Driver’s License (for potential delivery duties) and ability to pass a background check.
