Responsibilities
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly and inventory is handled with care.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and documenting stock movements.
- Conduct routine safety checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or hazards immediately.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a accident-free workplace.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize warehouse flow and meet daily production targets.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of clutter to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid and current OSHA-certified Forklift Operator License (Class A, B, or C).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and understand safety labels and inventory logs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and labeling.
