Responsibilities
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT): Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained in the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Organize and stack goods securely to prevent damage and optimize warehouse space utilization.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of material movement and inventory status.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform heavy physical labor in a night shift environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail-oriented work to prevent inventory errors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work rotating night shifts as scheduled.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
