Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Organize, stack, and palletize merchandise according to company safety guidelines and shipping labels.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment to prevent accidents and ensure efficient workflow.
- Verify inventory counts and accurately document stock movements using handheld scanners or computer systems.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery or forklifts in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate warehouse management systems.
