Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, and store materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Verify inventory counts against warehouse management systems (WMS) during picking and put-away processes.
- Ensure all materials are stacked securely and stored according to safety protocols and warehouse layout.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of warehouse equipment and facility.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., Forklift License, Reach Truck, Order Picker).
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards (OSHA).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory counts.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
