Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory safely and efficiently
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and rail cars with precision and adherence to protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and meet production targets
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times
- Support warehouse cleanup and organization initiatives to maintain a hazard-free workspace
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-approved) and at least 1 year of operating experience
- Ability to operate various forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) and attachments
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling best practices
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for all shifts
- Preferable experience in warehouse inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
