Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of all forklift equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock is properly rotated and organized.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and warehouse conduct.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Assist in maintaining a 5S workplace environment, keeping aisles and work areas clear of hazards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (CFP) with a valid license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions if needed.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and scanning.
- Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
