Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Loading & Unloading: Receive, inspect, and load/unload shipments accurately onto trucks or storage racks.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, stock organization, and maintaining accurate records of stock movement.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and perform daily pre-shift inspections.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with team members and ensure the warehouse operates smoothly to meet delivery deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse equipment immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
