Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to loading docks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation standards.
- Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, staging products, and organizing stock areas.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Efficiently pick, pack, and stage orders to meet daily production targets and shipping schedules.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety while operating heavy machinery.
