Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to transport inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Efficiently manage the loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers, ensuring cargo is secure and free from damage.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes, performing cycle counts, and updating stock systems.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workspace.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of debris to ensure smooth operations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and peers to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory counting.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
