Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move palletized materials using forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure efficient warehouse flow.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by tagging and locating stock in designated areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational safety.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in the picking, packing, and staging of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain a professional environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and order accuracy.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse managers.
- Reliability: Must have a clean driving record (forklift) and pass a background check.
