Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Load/unload trucks with precision, ensuring optimal cargo utilization and damage prevention
- Execute inventory control procedures using RF scanning systems
- Maintain organized warehouse layouts to maximize operational efficiency
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet weekend delivery deadlines
- Implement strict safety protocols in all material handling activities
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse workflows
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year warehouse/forklift experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8-hour shifts
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
