Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (including sit-down and stand-up models) and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Loading & Unloading: Accurately load and unload trailers, trucks, and pallets while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts, stock organization, and ensuring inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow during peak weekend shifts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (Weekend Shift) consistently.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
