Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, stackers) safely and efficiently according to company protocols.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper placement in the warehouse.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of all equipment before operation and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management tasks, including stock counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling and warehouse safety.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA preferred) required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends and rotating shifts as needed.
- Communication: Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with supervisors.
