Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks in a timely manner, verifying shipment contents against packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by tagging, labeling, and stocking products in designated areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and navigate tight warehouse spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order picking.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
