At Metro Supply Chain Services, we prioritize safety and efficiency. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly and that inventory is managed accurately.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts and equipment for safety issues before and during operation.
- Ensure that all materials are stacked securely and stored according to safety guidelines and inventory protocols.
- Perform daily inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as requested.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all 5S safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Dallas facility.
