Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight from trailers and trucks using various material handling equipment.
- Forklift Operation: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts (reach trucks, clamp trucks) according to safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of stock, perform cycle counts, and organize warehouse aisles.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read and understand safety signs and labels.
