Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in cycle counts using our warehouse management system.
- Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies regarding heavy machinery operation.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.
- Previous experience (1+ years) operating forklifts in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
