Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated warehouses
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient loading/unloading of perishable goods
- Conduct inventory audits using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to strict food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report malfunctions
- Coordinate with logistics team for timely shipments and receiving
- Implement cold chain compliance procedures for FDA-regulated products
- Train new staff on warehouse safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures (0-32°F) for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- OSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety training
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid California driver's license preferred
