Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload palletized goods from refrigerated trucks and shipping containers.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using handheld scanning devices.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as required.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of storage areas to prevent contamination and ensure equipment functionality.
- Stock Organization: Assist in organizing and arranging stock to optimize warehouse flow and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly; ability to stand or walk for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Environment: Willingness to work in extreme cold environments (below freezing).
- Skills: Basic math skills for accurate inventory counting; strong attention to detail.
- Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but not required for entry-level applicants.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
