As a Cold Storage Worker, you will be responsible for the safe handling and storage of perishable goods. We pride ourselves on operational excellence and employee growth, offering on-the-job training and clear pathways for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Freight Handling: Safely load, unload, and organize freight using forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure efficient warehouse flow.
- Inventory Accuracy: Perform cycle counts and maintain precise inventory records within temperature-controlled zones.
- Temperature Compliance: Monitor storage conditions and log temperature data to guarantee product integrity and safety standards.
- Space Optimization: Strategically organize stock to maximize storage capacity and accessibility.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods in cold environments.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret basic inventory reports and safety logs.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the St. Louis facility.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
