Responsibilities
- Pick and Pack Merchandise: Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately locate, retrieve, and package products for shipment.
- Inventory Verification: Perform daily cycle counts and spot checks to ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Process orders efficiently according to pick lists, ensuring strict adherence to batch and zone picking protocols.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided upon hire).
- Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect packages for damage before shipment and apply proper labeling and documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, picking, or logistics is highly desirable but not required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be able to work in various temperature environments.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to follow complex instructions and safety protocols meticulously.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and holidays as required by business volume.
- Communication: Basic proficiency with handheld scanners and willingness to learn warehouse management software.
