Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market evolution and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neuromorphic systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Develop ethical frameworks for emerging technology deployment and governance
- Present technology forecasts and innovation strategies to the board of directors
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology architects
- Secure $20M+ annual R&D budget through compelling ROI projections
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- 10+ years in technology strategy with Fortune 500 or unicorns
- Published research in Nature/Science on emerging technologies
- Proven track record of scaling tech teams to 200+ members
- Expertise in at least 3 emerging domains: quantum AI, genetic programming, or decentralized systems
- Fluency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Executive presence with successful board-level presentations
