Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in -10°F to 40°F storage zones
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trailers
- Perform inventory counts using RF scanners and WMS systems with 99.5% accuracy
- Implement FIFO rotation protocols for perishable goods and date-sensitive products
- Conduct daily sanitation and pest control inspections in compliance with HACCP standards
- Operate automated racking systems and cold room entry/exit protocols
- Document temperature logs and equipment maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse environments
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours in 30-40°F conditions
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
