Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer zones
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Conduct quality inspections of incoming/outgoing perishable inventory
- Operate automated inventory management systems with 99% accuracy
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA safety protocols for food handling
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless logistics operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or warehouse experience
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
- Forklift certification (stand-up and sit-down)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs in sub-zero environments
- Proficient in WMS inventory tracking systems
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
