Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks with precision in high-volume warehouse settings
- Maintain accurate inventory control through systematic scanning and documentation
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company operational procedures
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless material flow and dock scheduling
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Support inventory audits and cycle count initiatives
- Train new hires on safe equipment operation and warehouse protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts (valid certification required)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hour shifts
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness in tight warehouse spaces
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and overtime
- Experience with hazardous materials handling preferred
