Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and stack products.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate picking, packing, and shipping of goods while maintaining up-to-date inventory records in the WMS.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damages, discrepancies, and quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Organization: Keep warehouse aisles, shelves, and storage areas organized and clean to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and logistics coordinators to resolve inventory discrepancies and optimize storage layout.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A or B) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) preferred.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and consistent work attendance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
