Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and accurately sort incoming and outgoing shipments of frozen and refrigerated goods.
- Monitor and record temperature logs to ensure strict compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in stock reconciliation processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment within the cold storage units.
- Package products securely for distribution to local and national clients.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and improve storage efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, or cold storage facility is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in extreme cold environments (temperatures often below 35°F) for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Forklift certification (Class A or B) is a strong plus but not mandatory for all roles.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory and timekeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols strictly.
