Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols, including wearing PPE and conducting pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by properly stacking and shelving inventory.
- Load Management: Secure cargo during transport and verify load weights and counts against shipping manifests.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure seamless workflow operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a high-volume warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven terrain.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret pick tickets and safety charts with high accuracy.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening; proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
