Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Load, unload, and move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Control: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, track inventory levels, and update warehouse management systems accurately.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate powered industrial trucks to stack and unstack pallets and merchandise.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe by adhering to 5S standards and safety regulations.
- Packaging: Properly package goods to prevent damage during transit, ensuring all labels and documentation are correct.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage or defects before storage or shipping.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not always required.
- Skills: Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred) and basic warehouse equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- License: Valid driver's license may be required depending on role.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computer systems or warehouse software is a plus.
