Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight onto and off of trailers, railcars, and trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage products to ensure orders are filled correctly and on time.
- Material Storage: Maintain the warehouse in an organized manner, ensuring all inventory is stored according to safety protocols and company standards.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and digital logs for all received and shipped items.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required; we provide training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details and maintain accuracy in inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license may be required depending on specific role requirements.
- Equipment Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory for all positions.
- Communication: Basic computer literacy and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
