Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload merchandise from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, scan, and record incoming and outgoing stock using handheld scanners.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the storage area organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Packing and Labeling: Properly pack, label, and prepare items for shipment according to safety regulations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks, in a safe and compliant manner.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work a full-time schedule including weekends and holidays if necessary.
