Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials, ensuring products are handled with care and placed in the correct designated areas.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular cycle counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely replenishment.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and organizing stock to maximize efficiency.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly package, label, and prepare shipments for dispatch, verifying all documentation is correct before transit.
- Material Handling: Transfer materials between departments using conveyors or hand trucks, ensuring continuous workflow.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- License: Valid Class C Driver’s License (clean driving record preferred).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
