Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, condition, and proper labeling.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Warehouse Organization: Keep warehouse aisles clear and organize stock to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a major plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new warehouse software quickly.
