Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Load, unload, and move materials by hand or using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Inventory Control: Verify and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure stock levels are correct.
- Shipping & Receiving: Package and prepare shipments for delivery, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and handling procedures are followed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient storage area; organize pallets and stock according to company standards.
- Equipment Operation: Perform routine inspections of handling equipment and report any malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and shift reports as required by management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Skills: Basic math skills for counting inventory; strong attention to detail.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends during peak seasons.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (if driving company vehicles).
- Certification: Forklift certification is a plus but not required for entry-level applicants.
